Business of the Month
Village Drug has been operating in Ozona since 1959, serving patients and customers for generations. Recently, Rick Bird, owner of Village Drug, has decided to pass the baton so to speak, to a new owner, Dr. Yankton Wyatt. Yankton graduated from pharmacy school at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio in 2015.
Pharmacy is such an important piece to a community in providing health care and access to medications, specifically to a community such as Ozona when the distance to larger population centers makes traveling more than an inconvenience. It also is important for local residents to shop local and support the people and businesses providing services in town.
“Our aim is to keep providing the same services and keep the legacy of Village Drug alive and well for decades to come. In the near future we will be updating our services with some technology driven changes to better serve our customer base and make filling and refilling your medications even easier. We will also work on improving our front end offerings in gift related areas to hopefully provide more of a variety of options in Ozona as well over time.
“We truly appreciate being a part of the Ozona community and want to keep serving you as best as we can while maintaining the reliability of access to health care that everyone so enjoys. Be sure to let Rick know how much you have appreciated him over the past 30 years as he will be officially retiring in the near future. For more information you can reach us at 325-392-2666,” said Yankton Wyatt.
Sincerely-Yankton Wyatt, PharmD
