Public Parks in Ozona

 

There are many parks in Ozona, where you and your family can play, relax and have some good old-fashioned fun! 

 

I-10 PARK

Located at the south intersection of I-10 and State Highway 163, this is Ozona's newest park and consists of three distinct areas:

Crockett County Swimming Pool:

During the summer, the pool is open Tuesday through Saturday 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Closed Mondays.

Located at the south intersection of I-10 and State Highway 163.

Admission is $1.00. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Infants under 3 years of age are free.

Ozona/Crockett County Skating Facility:

Open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. year-round, this park is located at the south intersection of I-10 and State Highway 163 and is open to the public at no cost.  

Reminders

  • The Skate Park is a smoke, drug and alcohol free area.
  • Helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, and proper shoes are recommended.
  • Adults should supervise young children.
  • Be safe and courteous. Profanity, loud music, and disruptive behavior are not allowed.
  • Take care of your skate park! No food, drinks, or glass containers please. Use trash receptacles.
  • Users under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No pets are permitted in the skate park area.
  • Attention Parents: The skate park is unsupervised, please acquaint yourself with the facility and let the Crockett County Road Department know if there are any concerns by calling 325-392-3020.

Picnic & Play Area

Located at the south intersection of I-10 and State Highway 163 and open to the public year-round, this park is available at no cost on a first-come-first-serve basis.

TRIANGLE PARK

Located in the triangle formed by State Loop 466, 11th St. and Ave. I, this park is open to the public year-round. Available at no cost on a first-come-first-serve basis. 

Features a tiered fountain and memorials to Crockett County First Responders. Benches available for reflection and relaxation.

RODEO PARK

Located near the Rodeo Arena & Crockett County Fairgrounds on Ave. AA at the eastern edge of Ozona, this park offers fun for all ages!

Situated inside a quarter-mile loop, the park features playground equipment including swings, a play area, the Emerald House historic exhibit and picnic tables. For the more competitive, the park also has areas for sand volleyball, horseshoes and washer pitching. A covered slab on the east side of the park is available on a first-come-first-served basis.

OZONA'S HISTORIC TOWN SQUARE

Located at the intersection of Loop 466 and State Highway 163, the town square has been the hub of the community for over a century. Stroll around the square and experience the places where Ozona began. Enjoy reading about the history and significance of the limestone and stucco buildings. Stop and be photographed standing beside the Davy Crockett Monument. Imagine what it would have been like watering your team of horses at the county’s first public water well. Have a picnic or play in the grassy areas. Visit during a holiday or festival and you may find booths and games, music and entertainment.
